Cats do love you! Here is how they express affection!

You may have come across the statement “Cats are not as loving as dogs are” many a times. Well, only the cat owners may verify that how much a cat is capable of loving, but yes, expressing is altogether a different thing. Felines definitely do not express by running toward us and jump or by licking our face as soon as we are home like dogs do. However that does not mean that cats are not capable of loving or showing affection. If your kitty does following 4 things, consider them expressing their love for you:

Cat’s way of expressing love…

1. Desperate attempts to get attention: Kitties definitely know their way to get the owner’s attention which suggests that she cares enough to try seeking that. So if your queen taps you while you are busy doing something else, or comes in your way, then she is probably saying that she should be your only priority which is a tricky way of expressing love, but is one.

2. Purring with content: Cats purr to show their deepest emotions which may include their happiness, satisfaction, anger, unhappiness or if they are sick. However which purr is of happiness and love is up to you to guess. That should be easy for you if you love your feline as much as she does.

3. Exposing stomach area without hesitation: If your kitty exposes the stomach region to let you rub it then this means that she trusts you. And for cats, trust is love! However some cats are just shy or uncomfortable when somebody touches their stomach region so it may not be fair if you try to derive the love quotient entirely on this basis.

4. Rubs against you from time to time: Feline rub against something to mark their ownership. So if she tries to rub against you at intervals, let her do that. It may simply be the proof of her love for you. They do it to mark their territory which means you belong to her.

Though weird, these are some of the ways cats may choose to convey their love for you. Next time someone says that cats do not express love, counter argue with the above ways. Happy purring kitties!
